1. What brought you to Express Nirvana?
Curiosity, and I'd like some art challenges to get myself back into creating work outside of my 40+ a week.

2. How would you describe your position in the art world [ art student, artist, admirer, etc. ]?
Semi-professional as far as digital and graphic design - working on my personal style so that I can get back into freelance illustration. Eternal student. And piddler.

3. What style[s] of art do you prefer to use in your work? What style[s] do you rarely use, if any?
Blockprint, pen and ink, and scratchboard. And mixed media collage. Though lately all of my efforts have been going into costuming and jewelry making for extra income.

4. Who is/are your favorite artist[s]?
Gregory Barsamian. Joel Priddy. The English Gentlemen. George Pratt.

5. What are your greatest influences?
Joel Priddy. Though really it tends to be monkey see monkey do. Hence the "working on my personal style" bit.

6. What are your preferred mediums and tools of the trade? Do you have any signature mediums/tools?
I seem to have answered that in #3. SO to answer number three - my style is very "cartoony"...sort of.

What are your favorite color schemes/patterns?

8. How would you describe your personal aesthetic?
Very vintage and organic. And I'm a little obsessed with farm animals.

9. What are your other interests? What do you do when you're not creating art?
Bellydance. Reading. Gardening. Pretending to be an adult.

10. Anything else you'd like to tell us? Feel free to ramble here.
I am really sleepy, and work too much - so apologies if I don't actually finish anything - it's been my main problem lately - not finishing projects. I get easily distracted by new ones. Also, any critique I offer is with the best intentions - to help people improve, never out of maliciousness. But I tell it like I see it. So....apologies beforehand.

Because I must do my modly nitpicky duties, I must ask that you put this behind a cut. I know the survey isn't too long, but I like the comm to be nice and F-list friendly.

Now that that's out of the way, hello! Welcome to the community! I'm very excited to see your work, especially knowing that you're also a bellydance enthusiast. :)
